Must admit that for over 30 years, despite my Mother's insisting that I'd love bread pudding, I wouldn't even try it! It was only recently that I was dining at a friend's house, and just because I think she's an excellent (EXCELLENT!) cook and I didn't want to be rude, I ate the dessert presented to me.
