Sex, Murder & Magic In a Occult Thriller | March 31, 2009

The White Lady Murders – a new occult thriller – is raising plenty of Goosebumps and eyebrows. In her startling debut, first-time author Wendy Potocki masterfully combines sex, murder and magic into an irresistible bloodcurdling treat that begs to be devoured in one sitting. What emerges is the undeniably fact that she is a new, original voice of horror. What caused her to write such a spine-tingling thriller?

“I’m a lifelong fan of being scared senseless,” she explains, “This is my way of saying thank you and maybe a little payback for all those sleepless nights!” Her plan is clear. “My … Read More »

SparklePuss Soy Candles Popular Worldwide | March 31, 2009

Michelle Gephart is the owner of SparklePuss Soy Candles. “I married my best friend at 22 and lived happily ever after. Prior to children I spent most of my time with a direct selling cosmetics company. Looking back, I really learned how to run a business from doing that. Before starting SparklePuss® Super-Scented Soy Candles, I went to nail school and opened a home-based nail salon. Exposure to professional nail products and having my own salon inspired me to start a line of my own.  That first product was called “Healing Heel Stick” by weeLUXURIES and is still sold today … Read More »

Abrione Red Wine Body Scrub | March 30, 2009

I had the pleasure of experiencing the Abrione Red Wine Body Scrub from VB Cosmetics.  I have to be honest in saying that I am not a big fan of body scrubs.  I am one of those people that likes to see bubbles in my shower to reinforce my delusional belief that bubbles mean I am clean.

Well I was pleasantly surprised by the Red Wine Body Scrub.  Although the directions said to use a puff or facial cloth I applied the product with my hand to better experience the feel of the scrub.  I prefer scrubs that have small … Read More »

Transitions In Life | March 30, 2009

Transitions come in life to lead us on a new journey. Sometimes we have years to prepare and other times it happens in a blink of an eye. I am going through one of those transitions right now.

I fall in the category of the Sandwich Generation. This meaning I’m in between the Baby Boomers and Generation X. Well, technically I’m a Baby Boomer, but the very end. I will be caring for my parents in the future, my son has gone off to college and my daughter has yet to hit puberty. I’ve had years to prepare for this transition, … Read More »

Planting Seeds; Old & New | March 30, 2009

Heirloom seeds are kept over generations; they do not have expiration dates or limitations as such. There are many non profit organizations focused on teaching gardeners stewardship and environmental techniques to save agricultural resources.

“The programs of Organic Seed Alliance serve the needs of today with a vision for tomorrow by promoting the value of seed and seed saving skills, prevent the erosion of this resource, and expand the benefits and abundance inherent in every single seed.” excerpt from Organic Seed Alliance.

But there are a few things you can do as a home gardener to make sure you are … Read More »

Little Boy Blue | March 27, 2009

Prepare to be feeling blue this spring, as a dusting of the shade settles upon all menswear in sight; with all of the major labels showcasing the trend, there is simply no other colour to rival the pastel tone this season.  To fully embrace the look, go all out on a block coloured powder blue suit to evoke the relaxed glamour of yachting and holidays in Cannes, whilst dashes of white and navy boost the all important nautical twist.
