Since the time her daughter was old enough to wear barrettes, Joanne Schlesinger has always had a hard time finding what she liked in the stores. “I started to buy her hair accessories that were meant for women in stores like Nordstrom,” said Joanne. “After doing that several times I decided why pay such high prices for something I can do myself. I started to make hair accessories for her and when she started wearing them people asked where they could buy them. There was such a positive response to my designs that I decided to start a company and sell what I was creating. From that, Little Miss Julia was born.”

Little Miss Julia offers a full range of stylized hair accessories. Each barrette is handmade to order and each one receives the utmost attention to ensure the highest level of quality. “I use top of the line barrettes, hair clips, ribbons and embellishments. My designs consist of crystal flowers, multi colored flowers, smiling daisy flowers, ladybugs, smile faces, strawberries and apples.” Little Miss Julia hair accessories are unique in style. “I believe a girl’s hair should always look pretty. I enjoy creating hair accessories that do that. My goal is that my customers feel they have an accessory that completes their girl’s total look. Custom designs are also available. On www.littlemissjulia.com there is a “Create Your Own Barrette” option in which a customer can select the color combination they would like. “However, if a customer has a request that is not on the website I am happy to accommodate it. Phone calls or emails are always welcome.”

“For special occasions or birthday parties, I offer gift sets and party favors. Both these can include any number or combination of barrettes. Each set or favor is wrapped in a cello bag with shredded paper fill and ribbon to match the color assortment chosen.”
