Founded by renowned designer, Darby Scott in 1994, the Darby Scott brand has become synonymous with sophisticated style and refined taste.

Prior to founding her own line, Scott concluded a successful career as Vice President of women’s merchandising and design for the North American division of Aquascutum of London. This position followed nearly a decade of design experience at venerable international fashion houses including Perry Ellis and Karl Lagerfeld.  With a vast career in fashion and design experience to her credit, Scott felt it was time to launch her own line of luxury goods and pursue her passion.

Debuting at Saks Fifth Avenue in September of 1994, the first Darby Scott collection entailed cocktail and evening dresses, which featured elegantly tailored silhouettes crafted from sumptuous fabrics.  Enthusiastically received by retailers and the media, the Darby Scott line quickly found a place with consumers who found the simple elegance of the Darby Scott line highly appealing.

With the new millennium came a new line. In the Fall of 2000, Scott released her first collection of handbags, which has now grown to include a full range of large multi-functional day bags, evening clutches, and special occasion minaudières.   What makes the Darby Scott handbag collection unique is Scott’s artful blend of rich skins and opulent fabrics paired with semi-precious stones, natural shell, horn, bone, and wood.  The result is some of the most striking bags, which are carried by leading social figures and the Hollywood elite.

Scott continues her creative endeavors with future products that incorporate unique fabrication with classic design. The collection also includes traditionally inspired jewelry, with contemporary influences, resulting in many unique and one of a kind pieces.
