having fun Remember To Have FunWhen was the last time that you played an enjoyable game?

If you quit playing because it is a child’s sport, then you are wrong.

 As George Bernard Shaw said,
“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”

We know that kids, through play, can learn to make choices
and develop self confidence. They learn to try and try until they succeed, they learn to help others, and they even learn when to give up.

Do we as grownups tend to forget that? They are unraveling the world at their own pace, they are in control. When was the last time we felt like that?!

Friedrich Froebel said, “Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood, for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul.”

If we could take a peek into our play less soul what would we find?!

I know it’s a fast word out there, but we should pick our own speed, not just jump into the whirl. We should go back to basics.

“Be daring, be different, be impractical,
be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and
imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the
commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.”
(C. Beaton)
