Daffy’s known as the European designer hot spot for deeply discounted clothing, and my secret little fav spot to shop are moving into real estate.  Starting July 23rd customers can enter for a chance to win a rental luxurious and furnished apartment in the West Village.  I had the fabulous opportunity to chat with Marcia Wilson, President of Daffy’s to get the insider scoop on the hot apartment.

This is one of the first events Daffy’s has ever been involved in mixing retail with real estate, and since the Daffy’s customer is always looking for a sweet bargain, this is a deal they simply can’t pass up. Katrina Bowden celebrity spokesperson and star of 30 Rock is even involved; she kicked off the event with amazing exclusive tours of the Daffy’s apartment.  The geometric floor plan is truly unique and one of first living models in NYC. The apartment which normally costs a whopping $7,000 a month to rent will be $700 a month that is just craziness in NYC.  Marcia also mentioned for all my shopaholic friends, Daffy’s will have a 1,000sq ft pop up store on the ground leave for the next 6 weeks, it is just a small sampling compared to their average store front of over 100,000sq ft.

It is pretty easy to enter too! Customers have to submit a 30 second video at Daffy store locations, stating why they deserve to win “The Daffy’s Apartment”. 5 finalist video’s will be picked based on online votes.
