I was in charge of the kitchen this week for my church’s vacation bible school. We made some tasty treats that I will share with you in the future. I think the biggest hit was individual fruit pizzas. I got a great hint from another lady in the church for the spread used. The kids wanted it again the next day! You know if kids like something, you had better not lose that recipe! This one is SO easy and versatile.
- sugar cookies, (homemade or store bought)
- 1 tub prepared whipped topping
- 2 smooth tangy fruit flavored yogurts, (raspberry, lemon, lime, even banana!)
- fruits of your choice, sliced or chopped
Mix together the tub of whipped topping with the yogurt. Spread on cookies in a thick layer. Top with sliced fresh fruit. We used grapes, strawberries and bananas. Kiwi is delightful, as well as peaches. Let your own taste buds be your guide! This is so easy and can be fancy enough for a luncheon. We found that individual cookies were much easier to handle than the traditional BIG pizza cookie that you have to slice.

Yum! What a simple and neat idea….just what kids like, and they can create their own “specialties”
