Dan Rather will interview Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn about their upcoming book, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide (Knopf, 2009), on Sunday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the 92nd Street Y. Kristof and WuDunn have met many women surviving brutal circumstances during their travels throughout Africa and Asia, and aim to advance women’s rights all over the world by raising awareness and publicizing ways to help.
After their conversation with Rather, the writers will take questions from the audience and sign books.
