Editors from around the globe, with the guidance of famed Editor of Vogue Anna Wintour organized one of the most amazing fashion events of the year, Fashion Night Out. Attending Fashion Night out in NYC, one of the fashion capitals, made the event even more spectacular on Sept. 10th. It was also the first night of fashion week, so the city was buzzing with fashionista’s dressed in their most stylish get ups. Including myself, styled in my pink patent five inch Christian Louboutins, black sequin Leggings, gray sheer tank, leather jacket vest, and an arm full of chunky bracelets, compliments of Bella Dawn, of course. With over 800 chic events to attend on this evening, the champagne was flowing and starlets were glowing.
Designers like Martin+Osa and Rachel Roy featured pop up stores to sell limited quantities of their collection, Roy’s event was hosted by “American Boy” singer Estelle. There were meet and greets at Macy’s with Anna Wintour, Missoni had the glamorous Rachel Zoe stop in, Saks featured celeb beloved designer Yoana Baraschi, stylist Bobbbie Thomas at DSW, the Olsen twins were styling customers at Barney’s and Bloomies, omg Gwen Stefani signing autographs. Some glam spots like Nars, SpaceNK and Chantecaille even offered on the spot skincare treatments, mini massages, make-overs and goodie bags. Each store had their very own unique promotion, from contests, to cock-offs. Whispers were heard saying “it feels like Halloween” people were dancing in the streets to crazy beats at Sean John and the Lucky Brand Store.
It was a fantasy come to life for a girl who loves fashion, shopping, and a glam lifestyle. As Anna Wintour mentioned it is Vogue come to life, and fashion being revived. The night was to bring back the joy of shopping, and show the fame support behind the fashion industry, and how fashion is truly influential to all. So I ask, Dear Anna, pretty please make Fashion Night Out an annual event.
