Stella McCartney is truly modern designer. Not only is she a vegan clothing designer (a feat in itself), but she has a beautiful and unique aesthetic. Her clothes are not “crunchy”, yet they are entirely wearable. This topped with incredible quality, and a luxury fashion sense, it spells MODERN!
The look for Spring 2010 for Stella is the trademark wearable whimsy. The makeup is following that aesthetic, too. A “natural” face (I always tell people, “you’d be amazed how much makeup it takes to make a woman look like she’s not wearing any”). Very little amount of color adds to the muted palette. However, the skin is looking flawless and healthy. This is a sign of the times in makeup: the modern woman is all about looking like she didn’t do a thing to herself, when underneath, it is carefully constructed, methodically planned, and scrupulously executed. And it works every time!
