Facebook Application Helps Women Identify Their Beauty Styles and Concerns

Beauty Stat™ (www.beautystat.com), an online beauty community destination, announces the launch of its market-first Facebook application (http://apps.facebook.com/beautystat/) offering women a fun, easy-to-use way to identify their individual beauty styles and concerns, while enabling them to meet others with similar issues. Based on their custom profiles, Beauty Stat™ connects women with both zero-bias product recommendations and tips, in addition to experts on a wide range of skin, makeup, haircare and other beauty topics.

“The driving force of the Beauty Stat community is connecting members with a community of friends with similar concerns and experiences, and we are excited to bring this unique offering to the 50 million women in the U.S. on Facebook,” shares Beauty Stat™ CEO, Ron Robinson.

Recent Beauty Stat™ research revealed that a majority of women continue to use products that they are unsatisfied with.  Over half of the respondents expressed discontent about one or more of their regular skin care regime but continued to use those products.  Many of the issues identified arose from a lack of understanding of which skin care products were actually suited for their skin type.

“I am excited to participate with Beauty Stat! In my practice, I see women of all ages who are completely overwhelmed by the myriad of choices and information available to them, not knowing how to navigate even the simplest of skincare regimens – like cleansing and caring for their skin. BeautyStat is such an important, dynamic community of trusted, un-biased advice.” says Ellen Marmur, M.D., Chief of Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and author of the newly released book, Simple Skin Beauty”.
