There are many people nowadays that work from home – whether they’re job is a stay at home parent or business individual. While this gives us wonderful freedom and flexibility in our schedules, it also allows us to be more “comfy” in our attire.
I, myself, am guilty of occasionally wearing sweat pants when working from home. They are so comfortable! The problem is, most people feel they’ve “let themselves go” when wearing them too frequently. This is concerning, because how you perceive yourself affects all area’s in your life – your body language, social skills, confidence, performance at work and home – and the list goes on.
I’m writing this to remind you to “dress up” sometimes – even if there is no reason for it! I’m not saying to pull out a gown – an outfit that is considered ‘smart casual’ will do the trick!
Why?
How many of you have gone to a salon or purchased yourself a new outfit (or maybe both) and felt amazing with this new look? You’ve probably noticed that you might be smiling more, laughing more – your may even stand a little taller, feel more confident, and even may have a bit of ‘pep’ in your step.
You feel fabulous!
Why shouldn’t we give ourselves the courtesy of duplicating that on a regular basis?
So before you go reaching for your sweats next time (as comfy and as tempting as they may be)- give yourself a fabulous boost – you’ll be amazed at how it affects your day.
