Husband and wife team Tony and Angela DiTerlizzi have made a splash in the children’s book world with their Adventure of Meno series. Meno, a sweet space-elf, is accompanied on his journeys by his best friends Yamagoo and Wishi. Outlets such as Publisher’s Weekly have lauded the series; illustrated in a fun retro style, it is a great collectible for adults in addition to being fun for children (ages 1-5) to look at. The series, which has two installments so far–Big Fun! and Wet Friend!–will eventually become a six-book collection.
Chic Galleria and the authors are happy to give away one signed copy each of Big Fun! and Wet Friend! plus a custom-made Meno or Wishi blanket–winner’s choice! To enter to win, just leave a comment below that answers this question: “If you were going into outer space and were allowed one sentimental item, what would it be?” The winner will be drawn at random and announced on Monday, December 14, 2009. Good luck!
Congratulations to Desiree Kelley!

That is the hardest question.. I don’t believe I could leave my daughter (eh, I guess my hubby too) for more than a week at a time! To stay close to her, I’d probably ask if I could bring one of her lovey’s which would be either her lovey or puppy.

I think I would take… a quilt that my grandmother made for me – it has patches of cloth from my baby clothes and my childrens baby clothes

I’d take my one of my stuffed toys, either a teddy bear or my toy rabbit.
