What beautiful stationary products they have! The fabric wedding card is lovely.
I collect pottery and I watched over my sister’s home while they were out of town recently. She brought me back a handmade pitcher. Love it.

I was thanked with a beautiful fruit basket from my elderly neighbor for watching her home while she was away during the winter months.

I used to work as a community living manager-where people with mental and physical disabilities lived and I ensure their house was staffed and taken care of. One client was very new and not trusting of anyone because her last place stole her personal property, were mean, etc. Her reactions were always yelling and screaming, going to her room and slamming the door.
I worked so hard to get her to trust me. After a good month, I finally got a positive response after taking her to a community dance. Afterwards, she allowed me in her private room and showed me all of her belongings….so Trust was the best Thank you!

Errr. this isn’t actually a thank you story…hope that’s okay! But it is about one of the most memorable ways that somebody showed they cared. When I was 20 I was badly hurt in a car accident. At the time, my father worked as a counselor for people with mental illnesses and mental disabilities. One of his clients who had heard about my accident gave him a partly used can of Secret deodorant to give to me because, as she put it, “it’s important for her to feel pretty right now!” It cracked me up that somebody would give me a can of used deodorant, but I thought that the intention behind it was spot on (I *did* need to feel pretty) and one of the most thoughtful things anybody has ever given me!

I was with my son and we saw one of his friends. I asked how they were doing and he said not so well. I asked why not. My son said – he’s a good guy, he just never had anyone to help him the way you helped me.

The most memorable way someone has thanked me was… by a picture. When my sister was in college, she called me one day very upset because she didn’t have money, she didn’t know how she was going to pay rent, eat, etc. So… of course I sent her money as any good big sister would do. Once she got it she thanked me by taking a picture of all the groceries that she bought with the money I sent and sending that to me.
