Who will be the world’s most popular hairdresser in 2010?
Hairnet6 is the world’s first and only online internet-based hairdressers’ competition. The aim is to provide an opportunity to talented hairdressers to achieve international fame. Enter the contest, and be a part of this unique initiative, discover and get to know hairdressers from around the world, and let yourself be discovered. Deadline to enter is March 15, 2010.
“As the organizer, I believe that every hairdresser is a creative professional who has the opportunity to show themselves and their work now to the whole world. They have the chance to step out of the everyday routine and create something as an artist,” said competition founder Adam Perényi. “Hairdressing is a profession of art and art can’t be limited neither in time nor in space.”
He goes on to say, “Because of the global publicity made possible by the Internet every contestant can easily obtain international recognition. So it’s a great occasion for everyone to show their own style and knowledge unlimited and free in the way they can work out the best, and the result will be seen by the whole world.”
The competing professionals create in the three events marked in the competition’s announcement a mans, a womans and a fantasy hairstyle or even all three of them. All contestants can compete in all three events, but only once in each event and with one model. The creations will be photographed before and after as described in the application. They can use other beauty professionals – make-up artist, stylist, professional photographer, body painter, etc. – As if the photo would be created for a cover of a magazine.
The contestants upload the finished photos to the website, where the professional jury and the voters appraise the works separately in the second round. The first round is within each country and the winners can go further to the second round, where the voters and the jury can vote on the first round’s winning photos.
During the contest and in the final round in each category – student, hairdresser, master – and each event – mans, womans and fantasy hairstyle – the voters and the jury decide separately.
“Every contestant receives the biggest fame and publicity via the internet. Our winners get the title of the most popular hairdresser of the world. The winners get publicity from New York to Moscow, London to Cairo,” says Perényi.
