Before we all go Christmas mad there is one more event that many of us love to indulge in. Of course it is Halloween. This is the time we can dress up in some different clothes, have a party, and send the children off to annoy other adults apart from yourself.
With the world going Vampire mad recently it would seem appropriate to choose the vampire track for your Halloween madness. With the likes of Twilight and True Blood taking over our lives it is easy to gain inspiration. So what dresses are best for that vampire look?
Immediately you think of dark colours and long sweeping skirts. The more traditional look is a black corset with a red ribbon tying it. On your bottom half find a long black skirt that hangs straight town and slightly clings. Voilà! You have the typical vampire look. However if you want to go for the modern vampire then you can pull inspiration form the programs previously mentioned.
True Blood explores the more ‘sexy’ vampire look. Revealing, close fitting dresses are best suited. Perhaps opt for a strapless dress that comes to your mid way thigh or shorter. Now, for once, you can stray away from the traditional black. Blood red, royal blue or even white can make you look like an irresistible vampire! If you opt for white why not sprinkle a little red make-up down your dress, combined with fake fangs; you will look like you have walked straight off of the True Blood set.
If the Twilight Vampire is more you taste then you need to look for style. A tailored jacket and a neat pencil skirt, or skinny trousers, combined with killer heels will give you the ultimate Twilight look. Similarly a tailored, fitted 40’s style dress with heels will also produce the desired look. The most important factor to the Twilight look is the pale skin. So invest in some white face paint, water it down and add to your face, with some deep red lipstick.
