We have been making this cookie for years during the holidays. It is a recipe that my mom passed down to me. Now I have passed it down to my son, Michael.

Holiday Drops

Ingredients

1 cup shortening

2 cups light brown sugar (packed)

2 eggs

½ cup buttermilk

3 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 ½ cups pecans (chopped)

1 cup green candied cherries (halved)

1 cup red candied cherries (halved)

2 cups dates (cut up)

additional red and green cherries for top of cookie (halved)

Tea Lover’s Favorite Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients:

* 1 egg
* 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
* 1 tablespoon ONO Matcha green tea
* 3/4 cup white sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
* 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
* 1/2 teaspoon ground ONO Caramel Slim tea
* 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
* 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
* 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
* 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Directions:

1. In a spice/coffee grinder, place 1/2 teapoon of ONO Caramel Slim and grind to a powder form. You may need to smooth out a few larger pieces with a mortar and pestle.
