The Love of a Pet: Bongo Found Me! | February 22, 2011

After having to put down “Tank,” the love of my life, a Brittany Spaniel, I swore I was never going to own another dog.  I love them too much.  As the saying goes, “Never say never. A couple summers ago, my daughter was going to sleep-away camp for a week and at our farewell family dinner the night before I teased her, “Don’t be surprised if we have a little puppy when you come home!”  Her eyes lit up, but I told her I was kidding.  My “fib” turned out to be a premonition.

While my daughter was away, one morning I … Read More »

Heart Health in a Nutshell: What Walnuts Can Do for You | February 22, 2011

By Janet Bond Brill Ph.D. R.D., LDN  Author of Prevent a Second Heart Attack: 8 Foods, 8 Weeks to Reverse Heart Disease

Malan Breton Features Kyoto Wonderland | February 21, 2011

The Metropolitan Pavilion is always entertaining to go to for fashion week— a various mesh of designers show at this venue and present fashion collections in different ways. Malan Breton’s fashion show was no exception.

Opening the show a lady in a traditional white kimono slowly entered the runway with a man following in the same slow, serious motion. In the middle of the runway was a wooden block in which the man proceeded to sit down on and start using his hands to drum to the tune of Rhianna’s hit “Love the Way You Lie.” The model started to break … Read More »
