The video for “Sinners” is a result of the SIN FOR JIM contest to fans where contestants submitted clips and the winning clips were edited into the video.
Bianco elaborates on the video idea:
“I wrote a song about mucking things up, pissing people off and drinking with your friends. Thankfully, my fans are experts at these activities. When the time came to make a video, I decided to let folks show off their skills. This video is a compilation of clips submitted from fans and friends all over the world.”
“I was at a 10-day silent retreat (ostensibly ‘retreating’ from drinking, smoking, talking sh*t, eating like sh*t, screwing strangers and partying with my idiot friends.),” continues Jim. “It was day 5 and the whole song just hit me. Boom.”
“The most ironic part is that, while on a retreat where I was abstaining from all things unhealthy, I wrote a song about drinking, smoking and screwing.”
Bianco, well-known for his live performance, has toured with artists such as Imogen Heap, Butch Walker, Concrete Blonde and Loudon Wainwright III. He’s performed on the “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” NPR’s “Mountain Stage” and has been known as the miscreant of the legendary Hotel Café tour since it’s inception. Bianco’s music has most recently been featured on HBO’s “True Blood.”
Bianco currently appears in “Sing, The Hotel Café Tour”, a documentary titled after Bianco’s last record, where he can be seen sporting a mohawk, badmouthing his friends and making out with Butch Walker. “Sing, The Hotel Café Tour” airs this month on the Documentary Channel and will be screened in April at the Nashville Film Festival.
