Xeomin (manufactured by Merz) is the newest competitor to Botox and Dysport. Recently approved by the FDA in July 2011, Xeomin is currently only available to a select list of dermatologists until its nationwide release in January 2012. Dr. Javier Zelaya is one of the first to be able to offer his patients the newest competitor to the widely popular Botox. “At Skinworks I strive to make sure my patients are offered the latest treatments and medical advances available and provide them with the best quality results they desire. This in essence provides less risk of patients developing antibodies and therefore, will have a lesser chance of patients becoming resistant to its effects over time. Xeomin also does not require refrigeration before use, which will make distribution much easier and slightly less expensive than Botox.
