With the social media boom and online dating becoming more popular, there are many unique sites on the Internet. Truebluematch.com is a website designed to match mothers and create friendships. This site is an outlet for parents to form bonds and talk about that many wonders and unanswered questions about raising a child. Chic Galleria interviewed founder and CEO, Christine Cook, here’s what she said:

Where did this wonderful idea come from?

When my oldest son was born I left my job as an elementary school teacher.  Being home full time with my son gave me many, many wonderful moments, but there were also many lonely days.  While I consider myself a fairly outgoing, friendly person finding other moms to begin friendships with was awkward and difficult for me.  I remember wishing there was a matching service for new moms and even asked my pediatrician to fix me up with someone!

Many years later when I was teaching parenting classes I heard stories from moms and dads about the challenges they were facing, and finding connections with other moms and dads.  I knew then that my site would resonate with busy parents.  And it has!

When did you determine your business was a success?

Recently a mom posted something about our site on a very active Boston-based mom chat room.  Within 24 hours close to 70 new moms signed up to be a member of truebluematch.com.  From those members we know of several friendship matches that were made.  Knowing that so many moms needed our service and were eager to give it a try let me know our site is needed and important.  For me, the friendships that are being made is the sign of true success.

Tell us about Christine Cook?

I have always enjoyed supporting families, first as an elementary school teacher and now as a parent educator and founder of truebluematch.com.  As a mom myself I know that families need encouragement, education and validation to be their strongest and healthiest.   It is rewarding to me to support families through parent education classes I offer and by helping parents form meaningful friendships through my website.

As a true New Englander I enjoy many outdoor activates with my friends and family including skiing, hiking, and biking.  Making memories with my friends and family is my greatest joy.

Christine Cook has created an environment where busy parents can come together, get advice, and create new friendships. Parenthood is one of the most difficult, complex, and amazing experiences; it is an experience to share, learn from, and gain connections from. And THAT is what truebluematch.com is all about.
