Heidi Gardner’s jewelry presentation at the Hotel Americano was bloody awesome. Greeters lead guests downstairs to the basement where there was a lounge set up with her jewelry on display. Her collection lay on top of real animal hide while a slide-show was playing of her jewelry on dead animals- mostly some type of bird, I think it was a chicken.
Her jewelry line was made up of pieces that looked like human bones, skulls, and squids. Guests were then all given a ticket and led to an elevator that brought us up to her main presentation. Only 5 people were allowed into a hotel room to view her “Chop Shop Show.”
Once you walked into the hotel room, you realized you walked into what looked like a crime scene. The walls and floors were covered in blood and it was very dark. On your right, there was a bathroom with a girl wrapped in saran wrap wearing Heidi Gardner’s jewelry and an organ in the sink displaying a piece of her collection too. Once I walked in the main room, there was a guy who was either “dead or passed out” in the closet wearing one of her rings and there were metal trays with pieces of her jewelry and organs all around the room. In the master bed room there was a guy “chopping” a guy up. The guy who was the victim was wearing her jewelry and the “surgeon” was showing her Heart piece.
Over all, I thought the show was genius. Yes, it was bloody, scary, and made me a little queasy, but it’s a show that I will never forget. It was clever and put together well.
