Christopher Drummond is no stranger to color-matching makeup. When he was a fashion model, makeup artists never seemed to be able to match his coloring correctly. This led to his beginning as a pro makeup artist, and eventually creating his own makeup line. The line christopherdrummond.com is the only luxury makeup line that is all natural, organic and vegan that caters to all skin tones and colors. "The first luxury all natural line that isn't afraid to cater to any and all skin tones," Drummond says.

"I knew that I could do better than what was out there." Drummond remembers, "for years, I had looked for the right makeup: a high quality product that was comparable to the Chanel's and Dior's on the market, but I wanted more. I wanted the colors to be made for me. I wanted the ingredients to be all natural. I wanted animal-friendly ingredients and tools. It didn't exist. Anywhere. So, I did what I do best, I took the bull by the horns, and made a line that surpassed my high standards."

Considered a "Beauty Lifestyle Expert," he is looking to do more than just paint faces, he wants to change lives. "I am a strong believer that superficial beauty washes off; real beauty lasts forever...."

Academy Awards 2010: Lashes are the Big Winner!!!!

March 8, 2010

To get the “Red Carpet Look” all of the celebs had last night at the 2010 Academy Awards, it is mandatory that you have false lashes.  This look of the night was worn by everyone from Zoe Saldana to Sigourney Weaver:  Long, lush lashes that called attention to the beautiful shape of the eyes………

Tips from Celebrity Makeup Artist Christopher Drummond:

February 22, 2010

A big trend on the runways at Fashion Week Fall 2010 is makeup that is glowing, shimmery and radiant on the skin.  Yes, skin is in!  And what better way to make your skin look glowing than a little bit of radiance, compliments of your favorite makeup company!!!

To get this healthy look, be sure not to use too much foundation and concealer.  This will make your skin look cakey and dry.  To give the opposite efect, lightly dab Christopher Drummond BEauty’s Natural Concealer where needed (use with a damp sponge or brush).  This will even out the skintone.  Next, dust … Read More »

Get the Look: BCBG Fashion Week 2010

February 15, 2010

Makeup artist Sarah Lucero, for Stila, created a monochromatic, clean face using beige tones. “The key is to neutralize the skin so the beige pops,” said Lucero, as she prepped the face with Hydrating Primer. She then applied One Step Makeup to the face, and Dune eye shadow to the entire eyelid. She created a soft “reverse cat eye” under the lid by brushing on a deeper brown shade to remove any pinkness. Cheeks and lips were bare.

To get the look with Christopher Drummond Beauty products:
Apply Natural Cream Concealer where needed in small amounts
Next, apply a small amount of Saude … Read More »

Makeup for Eczema and Sensitive Skin

February 2, 2010

Hey Christopher, My name is Dee and I’m from the UK.

I haven’t used your make-up yet, but it seems really convincing. I love watching your videos and have got a better idea about your products. But I just wanted to ask you a quick question: I had eczema when I was a child and now I have grown out of it, but I do still break out on my face with eczema if I use the wrong product- I have used mineral make-up like sheer cover and bare minerals but they have dried my skin out and my eczema … Read More »

How to Use Glitter and Shimmer

December 16, 2009

Although it’s easy and quick to apply, even a tiny amount of glitter can pump up almost any makeup in an instant;  however you should isolate it to one feature—lids, lash line, lips, or cheekbones. Don’t use it all over, you will look like a Halloween costume gone bad.   A major issue with Glitter is that if someone decides to use it, they use it until the cows come home.  This will make you look like a disco ball.  However if you just want to add some “pop” to your holiday makeup, less is usually more with glitter.

Beginners Guide to Safe Cosmetics

December 14, 2009

Many people know the benefits of using safe cosmetics.  Obviously, when you use something natural, you aren’t exposing yourself to carcinogens, artificial colors, fragrances and ingredients that aren’t good for the reproductive and endocrine system, etc.

However, many natural cosmetic companies seem to teach the “all or nothing” mentality.  For most people, this is intimidating and not realistic.  To think that someone is going to throw out all existing cosmetics and start new with 100% natural products just isn’t going to happen.

The most important thing to know about cosmetics in this day and age is that there is very little regulation … Read More »

Applying Beauty Products After a Facial Procedure

December 11, 2009

*Skin is very delicate after a facial procedure.  By using a natural foundation on top of SPF, you are creating an inclusive barrier that will help protect your skin.  The foundation will also allow your skin to breathe, which aids in healing.

*Look for a natural concealer that has Shea Butter in it, which is known to help heal and calm the skin.  Apply a light layer where needed.  It also provides sun protection.

*It’s important to use natural-based skin products after a skin procedure.  Many chemicals that are in skincare and makeup are irritating to the skin and may cause redness, itching and … Read More »

December 2, 2009

How do you put eyeshadow in the crease? If you look at my page you will see my eye shape…I dont know exactly the shape. I don’t know how to describe it. But I’m part Asian and black and I don’t know how to put the darker eyeshadow in the crease without making my eye look funny.

First, don’t use too much color.  Start with a light amount.  Then  close your eye to find the crease.  Take your finger and press just above the eyeball.  Where you can push in is your crease.  Then, take our eyeshadow brush (which is perfect … Read More »

Safe Cosmetics: Why Should You Care?

November 12, 2009

To read more about a great safe cosmetic line, go to www.christopherdrummond.com.

When choosing cosmetic ingredients you should always read the label, read the fine print for any side effects warning they may have. If you are unsure of what product you should choose, you can always check out the Environmental Working Group website on the internet before purchasing any sort of cosmetic product. Many product packages are designed to make you believe that the product is gentle and safe to use on any type of skin, when in fact it may contain ingredients that are irritating to the skin and … Read More »
