Friday Nights at the UNICEF Snowflake

The giant crystal UNICEF Snowflake is a symbol of the organization's commitment to aiding children around the world. Between dining and shopping, stop by the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street on one of these Fridays, where UNICEF volunteers pass out cookies while a special guest visits to say hello.
Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square
December 1
5:30 p.m.
The area's stores, restaurants, and streets will feature free entertainment for all. Offerings include food tastings, shopping, and performances.
Bronx Zoo's Wild Winterland
December 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, and December 22-January 4, 2009
11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
The Bronx Zoo's Winterland acitivities include storytelling, ice carving demonstrations, and choral performances.
Museum of the City of New York Children's Holiday Party
December 8
3:00-6:00 p.m.
The party includes musical performances, arts and crafts, face painting, magicians, a buffet dinner, and a visit with Santa Claus.
Central Park Conservancy's Winter Festival of Lights
December 20
4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Award-winning storyteller Regina Ress will share with children stories of Winter Solstice, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and the New Year. The event ends with a candle-lit procession.
