Abstract Dreams For Spring | January 18, 2011

Now that the holidays have finished; I’ve already begun pining for warmer days and more sunshine. Browsing spring collections of designers often makes my anticipation even stronger. I love seeing where each draws their inspiration from!

This spring, prints are everywhere – and while I’m not a huge fan of most prints except for classics (i.e. stripes, polka dots, etc), I have to say – the paisley/abstract look that has been captured by many for spring 2011 has me swooning.

I often look for pieces that can be worn multiple ways and that I can’t live without. This Tibi silk kaftan happens … Read More »

Office Christmas Party Perfect! | December 21, 2010

Every year, many women are faced with the dilemma of finding something perfect to wear to their work’s Christmas party.  What most don’t realize, is that you can often create something festive from your very own wardrobe.

No need for frustrating trips to the mall!  All you need: a classic dress (whether it be a LBD or a splash of colour – I prefer the later) and a great blazer.

From there, all you need is a splash of some fabulous statement accessories in metallics – silver or gold. A great necklace, bracelet, and cocktail ring. Careful though not to overload on … Read More »

Complete Your Look: Add A Scarf | November 10, 2010

Most everywhere in the country, fall and winter temperatures are sweeping in.  Sweaters, boots and wraps are making the daily fashion scene.

Scarves are one of the hot fashion accessories you can not live without during the chilly seasons. Scarves can add a pop of color to your outfit while keeping your neck nice and warm.

I was never a fan of scarves until last fall and winter.  I was always so unsure of how to wear them.  After buying a few, I realized the long, narrow styles offered the most versatility over the short, square traditional styles. Long, narrow scarves can … Read More »

Become a Thrift Store Expert | January 29, 2010

Everything old is new again – or can be if you’re interested in changing your shopping habits. Instead of spending more than you can afford on brand new items, check out local consignment and thrift stores to supplement your wardrobe. I found a tweed jacket with faux fur trim around the cuffs and down the front for $5 at a store in Atlanta. And my favorite bargain of all time is a faux fur coat that looks like … Read More »
