Jimmy Choo Prizes Galore | October 31, 2009

Jimmy Choo and Elton John AIDS Foundation have launched a photo competition to support the launch of Project PEP, a charity collection that donates 25% of sales to the Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa. The money goes towards providing the HIV-preventative treatment PEP (which must be taken within 72 hours of exposure to HIV) and counseling to victims of rape in South Africa, which has the highest count of rape in the world.

Salvatore Ferragamo, the renowned Italian luxury house, hosted a benefit June 2, 2009 in Beverly Hill, CA, for L’Aquila, Italy’s efforts to rebuild after the earthquake earlier this year.  The evening fund-raiser was hosted by Debi Mazar and Adrian Grenier.

All proceeds from the evening’s in-store auction as well as 10% of all shopping proceeds from the night entirely benefit GlobalGiving’s Italy Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund.
