Mermaid Paradise: SACHIKA Brings the Ocean to Life | September 28, 2011

Identical twins To-Tam and To-Nya of SACHIKA brought an exciting collection to the stage at Elle360’s venue during fashion week. The show started with a bang—quite literally! As the bongo drums started rumbling with live performers playing on stage. Suddenly dancers clad in ivy leaves hopped onto stage for a tribal choreographed routine dancing to the beat of the drums. It caught the crowd off guard and built up the anticipation for the clothes to start coming down the runway.

SACHIKA designed a collection that was inspired by their vision of the perfect, beautiful depths of the ocean. A mermaid … Read More »

Robert Verdi Hosts Lafayette 148 at Saks | September 20, 2011

As fashion week came to an end on Thursday, it went out with a bang at Saks Fifth Avenue’s celebration of their new Lafayette 148 shop on the 4th floor. To celebrate the new shop—what better way to kick it off than with a fashion show hosted by celebrity stylist and tastemaker, Robert Verdi. Robert spoke about each trend the models came out with; he explained how each piece can be worn and how to style it in different ways.

Glasses of wine and sparkling water were served with delicious hors d’oeuvres as the presentation continued. Robert Verdi has … Read More »

Highway to Hell: Anna Francesca’s Edgy Spring 2012 line | September 19, 2011

As “Highway to Hell” blasted through the speakers, so did Anna Francesca’s Spring 2012 collection which was titled “Lucifer.” The show began with a cut-out red and black ensemble with giant angel wings, being escorted by a black caped grim reaper character. Needless to say, it set the tone of edginess, a unique heaven vs. hell runway show.

The next outfit to appear was a soft feathery V-cut dress with a pretty pink waistline. Lace, ruffles, chains, corsetry, shimmer and shine— Francesca used many materials and shapes for her collection which kept the audience on their toes. What was going … Read More »

Boy Meets Girl by Stacy Igel @ Avenue | September 14, 2011

Styling her friends at the age of four, Stacy Igel was destined to be a fashion designer. Tonight her talent shined at her exciting fashion presentation sponsored by Elle360 Style Coalition at the trendy club Avenue in the Meatpacking district.

The Veronicas played live at the party hosted by Dwight Howard & Victoria Azarenka. Once the band started, models started playfully dancing and strut their “edgy yet wearable, stylish yet casually classic” Boy Meets Girl attire. The show was fun, exciting and a great brand that edgy, stylish women would want to wear.

After speaking with family members of Stacy’s, I learned … Read More »

Mackage Fall/Winter 2011 at the Lincoln Center | March 23, 2011

Every season fashion week is unpredictable—you never know what kind of experience it will be until the lights dim low and the music rolls as the first model steps foot onto the catwalk. Mackage proved to live up to this exciting suspense with a sexy chic style from the start. I had a fabulous front row seat, sitting 2 seats away from Adrienne Bailon. Needless to say, I was quite excited to be there.

Mackage presented a fabulous Fall/Winter 2011 collection. For women it featured feminine silhouettes with strong details.  A teal jacquard … Read More »
