My first thought as to what celebrity stylist and wardrobe consultant Rachel Zoe is wearing to the Marc Jacobs fashion show in New York City, which took place earlier this month is: B-O-R-I-N-G.
Typically, I adore Zoe's vintage-Renaissance-mod feel. Whether I am thumbing though the celeb weeklies or watching "The Rachel Zoe Project," I always want to give her a high-five to the original outfit she is exhibiting.
But this time, I feel her Grecian Goddess-like pink (silk?) wrap dress is yes, definitely beautiful, but all I can focus on is how tan her skin is, her nude lips, her naked neck, and her matching black peep-toes and bag. Something is wrong! Although I respect the minimalistic look she is going after, and trying to keep it simple, light, and the eyes on the dress; it turns out that I can barely focus on the dress due to the other distractions!
If I could add more of Zoe's signature looks to the outfit, I would add: a fabulous fur coat and a gold or colored heel. Not too much, but just two of the elements that I enjoy seeing her flaunt. She is a trendsetter and has helped to create such a stir in Hollywood. According to her recent show, she is even now developing the Rachel Zoe brand. I rarely enjoy criticizing the looks of those who DO know what they are doing, because being creative and experimenting with new styles and fashion pieces are what makes the world go round. And to me, because Zoe is one woman who knows how to run, jump on, and take the driver's seat, I couldn't help think that maybe Brad misplaced her outfit essentials and it is all his fault I am writing this in the first place!

I love to watch "The Rachel Zoe Project" but she is so skinny and thin to me overall and in the photo it becomes apparent.
I wouldn't add a fur coat since I'm against using fur for anything! but she doesn't need something to give her that amazing look that she gives to all her clients.
You know, I'm not so into fur as fashion at all either. But I have to admit, the look of it is oh-so-glamorous! I LOVED the lavendar Zac Posen short dress she chose for her client Joy, which appeared on last night's episode (or the one before it. I watched 2 back-to-back!).
She is quite the skinny stylist...
