Shiny Adornments Wearable For Work and Play

| | Comments (2)
shiney.jpgToday's chic jewelry interview is with the fabulous designer, Kristy Smith of Shiny Adornments.  I asked Kristy to share with us a bit about how she got started, her inspirations and her goals.

I discovered creating my own sterling and gemstone jewelry a bit over a year ago. There is just something about taking simple silver wire and creating swirls and coils and wraps that calls to me. Plus, any time one can whack something with a hammer has to be considered a bonus. I love combining sterling silver and various stones to create little colorful works of art that I can wear on my wrist...and ears and neck. I'm a geek at heart and moved the entire enterprise online pretty quickly, with an etsy store front as a logical first endeavor.

I find inspiration in the wildflowers I drove past this morning on the way to work or the suit I just
shinet.jpg bought that needs the perfect accessory or the strange dream I had last night. I am also inspired by art and color. I like jewelry that makes a statement. My goal is to create wearable items for work and play that offer an interesting statement about the women who wear them.
