Designer Dresses A-List Celebrities In Style

a.7.jpgMarianthy Avraamides finished her bachelors degree in fashion design in England, but relocated to New York to pursue a career as a fashion designer. Over the past decade she has designed for famous international clothing brands in New York and London and traveled the globe for inspiration. "I am never satisfied with the familiar," says Marianthy.  Her designs have been worn by famous celebrities including Drew Barrymore, Julia Roberts, Benjamin Bratt and Michael Weatherly.

After 10 years of designing for other labels, I was itching to create my own womenswear clothing collection. Therefore, after 14 years of living abroad, I decided to move back home to Cyprus to start my own business and founded the Fiore Amaro design label in February 2007. My vision was to create a label that explored beautiful, intricate clothing for the individual and stylish woman.

Fiore Amaro does not believe in uniforms, or universal fashion. We also understand what our customer's want, which is, an individuality of style and garments that are limited production. Our company motto, "Its not about fashion, it's about Style".

a.1.jpgFiore Amaro is a lifestyle label, offering women a wardrobe for every occasion:
Fiore Amaro, White Label - ready-to-wear clothes
Fiore Amaro, Black Label - couture collection and custom made evening dresses
Fiore Amaro Weddings - custom made couture bridal gowns and couture bridal gown rental.

The first Fiore Amaro store opened its doors in September 2008 in Limassol, Cyprus.

The boutique caters to a wide variety of tastes, from the eternally classic to the avant garde. The designs appeal to international women of all ages. Coats, jackets, sweaters, blouses, casual dresses and cocktail dresses, skirts, trousers and even our very own Swarovski crystal logo denim jeans! Accessories include bags and jewelery.

While at university one of my lecturers showed us a film, "Breakfast at Tiffany's". This film was the start of my love affair with timeless classic couture and old Hollywood glamour of silver screen actresses. Most of my inspiration comes from Hollywood films of the 40's, 50's and 60's eras. The work of designers such as Gabrielle Channel, Elsa Schiaparelli, Madeleine Vionnet, Paul Poiret, Balenciaga, Dior (pre -YSL) fascinate me. My designs are classic with a contemporary visionary twist; timeless, sexy, feminine, elegant, ladylike silhouettes. I would describe my daywear collection as minimalist, clean cut basics that can be translated from work to a night out. The evening wear collection is dark, mysterious, glamorous, curvy, sensual and dramatic. Strong, independent, feminine women are my muses.

My favorite experience with my profession is when I see someone on the street or at an event wearing one of my creations. The most valuable compliment I can receive is when I get customers coming back to the store to thank me for their dresses. This means I am doing my job right!

At the moment my plan is to capture the Cyprus and Greek markets and then go international. Currently there is some generated interest from boutiques in New York, Miami and London and I am currently pursuing to stock my product with them. There is one factor which is on my side, and that is that I have a huge amount of experience working in the USA as well as Europe and understand their markets well.
