princess-pea-2.jpggiveaway.gifBecky Larson and her husband learned the Swahili word "Kazana" during their travels in Kenya and Uganda. It means "to busy oneself" and "to make a home". "We felt it echoed our philosophy of living and working, and named our business after it," says Becky, owner of Becky Kazana.

"I've always loved to draw, paint and make things with my hands, and Becky Kazana is a natural extension of all of those things. I sell greeting cards and prints reproduces from my watercolor and ink artwork,  and one of a kind pipe cleaner gals that I make carefully by hand."

"I find inspiration around me all the time and I love to share it with others! Whether it's via my blog, or my products, I enjoy sharing my cheerful vision of the world around me and learning from the experiences of others too. I find inspiration in travel, color, humor, fashion, children's books, flowers, music- it goes on and on! In particular, I find inspiration in things that are made by hand. There is something unique about human touch and one of a kind objects that is more important than ever in this digital age."

"Some best sellers include The Princess and The Pea, Just Married and my pipe cleaner brides and maids. My favorite part of my business is hearing back from thrilled customers. I believe that the joy I take in what I do shines through in my products and I love it when that brings joy to my customers too. There is nothing as satisfying as that!"

Such a talent! I really like the princess and the pea, but I think the wedding up, up and away is gorgeous too and would make a lovely and unique wedding gift!

What fun artwork -- it just makes you smile and it evokes happy memories from various parts of life. I have three favorites (three is such a nice number)...the wedding balloon captures just what a wedding should be, the plate spinner is quite a commentary on all the things women try to juggle in our lives, and the cookies Christmas illustration just seems warmly evocative. What a fun site to visit!

I love the Smell the Roses 8 x10 Print, its beautiful!
Very creative. Thanks

OMG! LOVE her cards! The YIPPEE wedding card is my absolute favorite! Not to mention the Princess and the Pea--these cards suit my friends PERFECTLY.

You rock! You are a new addition to my computer/artist life, and I'm here to say I'm drawn like a magnet to your work! I deal in realism, and it is so refreshing to see happy, whimsical creations come from your imagination... it's so different than what I do, but very inspiring to see what you invent from seemingly small, insignificant items--pipe cleaners? To the non-crafty, they are for cleaning pipes...you make them into feminine females!!! Creativity to the max!!!!

I like the twinkle toes card where the ballerina is dancing on top of a cupcake. I LOVE cupcakes so this card is just perfect, but all of the cards are lovely!

So, I received a picture she did...she's so great! totally worth it
