Custom Created Perfume For Self-Expression

Welcome.jpgMonreal-born and Israel-raised, Ayala Sender, owner of Ayala Moriel Parfums, always knew how to appreciate good scents. "It wasn't until moving to Vancouver, a beautifully clean northern city with hardly any scent at all - that I felt the urgency to re-invent my olfactory environment with familiar scents from home. I started with incense in 2001, and quickly decided to start a perfume company dedicated to self-expression through the art of natural perfumery."

"More than anything else, people and nature inspire my perfumes. I wanted to open to individuals the possibility of creating custom-scents and being involved in the process - a service that, up until recently, was unknown to most and usually not available to anyone except the wealthy and famous. I believe each individual has the right to self-expression through fragrance, and so my clients are active participants in the creative process - from choosing the essences to picking a name for their Signature Perfume," says Ayala.

"Espionage, Tamya and Bon Zai are the best selling perfumes. Also very popular is the perfumed jewelry - signature perfume pendants (custom designed for us by Amir Poran), and collectible poison rings - all filled with solid perfumes. As well as Immortelle l'Amour and Roses et Chocolat perfumed teas."

"I love every aspect of my work - the creative part of perfume design as well as everything else that goes into the products - packaging, marketing, customer service and even the "dirty work" such as shipping and receiving. I am also particularly excited about passing my knowledge to my students who participate in the 2-year Foundation of Natural Perfumery Course." www.ayalamoriel.com

DSC03116.JPG"There are a few new things happening this spring for Ayala Moriel - the most exciting is the perfume exhibit hosted by Blunda in Los Angeles for the entire month of April. This will be a unique art-show event. I will be presenting the perfume I've designed last spring as part of the Perfume Inside a Poem project on Memory & Desire blog, - a cherry blossom perfume inspired by a poem by Ezra Pound; as well as showcasing images of cherry blossom in Vancouver that I photographed while making the perfume."

"The exhibit at Blunda will highlight perfumery as an art form and also I will be there personally for the weekend of April 17-19, with a special event at the shop including afternoon tea & treats (my teas and perfumed chocolate truffles included!)."

"Also this spring I will be launching a new tea, based in authentic and rare pomelo-blossom perfumed green tea with additional fragrant herbs and flowers based by my perfume Charisma - which I am now working on with my tea master of Inner Alchemy Tea Co."
