Author's Characters Explore Danger and Romance

Linda Alexander has been writing professionally since 1987--starting with local newspaper pieces, then into national newspaper and magazine articles and then books. "I've written since I was a kid and there was never anything else I wanted to do. I'm also an avid researcher, and big into genealogy or, as I call it, "digging up dead people." For novels, characterizations are nothing less than spiritual personalities that want to be heard . . . whether that's literal or fictional," says Linda.

Someone just read it and said they thoroughly enjoyed it though they don't usually read "books like this." Funny thing is--I don't usually read "books like this," either . . . but this story had to be told and the characters picked me to tell it."

It tells of his early roots as son of a Midwestern doctor, his meteoric rise as a Hollywood heartthrob during Hollywood's glamour heydays, into his middle years as a seasoned movie and TV star, a public figure increasingly involved in world politics, and then his early death at the age of 58 from throat cancer. The book's been out a year and is doing well."

"I have 2 books due out this year--a re-write of Until Next Time, my 1st novel. It is a story of dark sexy intrigue and will be called It Will Happen Again;  this time it will be set near Opelousas, Louisiana. The 2nd, due out late 2009, is another Hollywood biography, A Maverick Life: The Jack Kelly Story. Jack Kelly starred in TV's Maverick in the '60s along with James Garner, many movies, and a lot of episodic TV. He also served as mayor of Huntington Beach, California . . . and he had a theatrical family background. Interesting man."
