Plump lips are not only for the genetically gifted! And I promise there are no injections here! We are staying all natural! Thinner lips are nothing a little smoke and mirrors can’t fix.
I by no means have full lips, so if you don’t either, join the club! We can complain for a minute or two, but then we gotta get to work! By no means are plump lips the only beautiful style! But it’s nice to get in on the pout action every once in a while, right?!
Prepare your lips
You want a clean and blank canvas! Be sure your lips are exfoliated before applying product and then go ahead and camouflage those babies with your concealer/foundation. Nothing dark, we want to stay on the light end. I recommend concealer that is the same shade as your skin.
Line ‘em up
Outline your lips in the color of your choice, and make a cross in the very middle of your top lip. More of an x actually! This is going to create the illusion of a FULL top lip!
Smoke and mirrors
If you fill in your lips with your lip liner or just line ‘em and move on make sure when you are adding color you do not add color to the middle of your lips. So if we break our lips into thirds… one-third of the lips (in the middle) should be left uncolored. The 1/3 on each side of the middle, can both be filled with color!
Highlight
Take the smallest dot of concealer if you didn’t use it before and pat it on the uncolored portion of your lips. Then take a white eye shadow or eye pencil and fill in the middle! Next, run a nude gloss or a single stroke of lip product over your entire lips. You can double up on the sides but only one coat in the middle, this makes sure it doesn’t get too dark but also helps the outside corners to blend.
The game changer
Add a dab of shimmery white eye shadow or highlighting powder to the center of your lips with one of your fingers and pat your lips together.
You did it! You’ve created the perfect pout! Not too shabby huh? If I could do it I knew you could do it too. Now try it with your favorite fall lip and post your results below! XO!
