The need to apply sunscreen and protecting yourself from the sun is no big secret. We all know we need to do it on a daily basis. But how many different products with SPF does a woman need to own? It’s easy to find cosmetics these days that contain ingredients to protect us again harmful sun rays. Remembering that other parts of our body each day can be the challenge. My dermatologist always reminds me of these secret spots during our annual visit.
Places You Might Forget to Apply Sunscreen
#1 The Eyelids:
Be extremely careful when applying any type of products around the eye. It’s super important to protect your lids on a daily basis.
#2 The Hands:
After applying sunscreen to your body, rub in the remainder between your fingers and finger tips for optimal protection from the sun’s damage.
#3 The Décolleté:
Do you know where it is? The chest above the Girls. Start at your jawline and work your way down to ensure all areas will be covered.
#4 The Hair:
The sun might fade your hair color, but it’ll also damage your scalp. Look for mists that can really reach the roots.
#5 The Lips:
Look for lipglosses or lipsticks with SPF. There is nothing worse than sunburning your lips!
#6 The Ears:
Even though your ears are usually protected by hair, the UV rays slip through. Use the same formula you use on your face, and slather it on those ears. I personally like to use a stick to rub on the tops of my ears.
So to remember these hard to remember places, I was trying to come up with an acronym. If you can think of a good one, please leave me a comment below.
