Going to bed early can be very challenging, especially if you’re a college student. We have all pulled all-nighters to get an A on our test but doing this is NOT good for you. It is crucial to get a certain amount of hours of sleep to function correctly and to stay healthy. But then there are people that get in bed at a decent hour but still can’t fall asleep. I used to have this problem and quite frankly it was the most aggravating thing in the world but below I will share with you some tips that have helped me fall fast asleep in no time.
Keep a Clean Bedroom
To say I’m OCD is an understatement. I can not think straight unless everything is in the right place. I have to make my bed and clean my room every single day. Even if I’m in a hurry! By doing this it brings a sense of relief so when I go to sleep I don’t have to worry about an untidy bedroom.
Disconnect From The World
One of the most important things you can do to help you fall asleep is turn your phone off, put your laptop away and turn off the tv. Using these electronic devices will keep your brain awake. Don’t get me wrong I’m very guilty of always being on my phone but recently I’ve learned to put it down and not get on it so often. By doing this not only have I been more social but I sleep a thousand times better at night.
Bubble Baths
If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for bubble baths. I can take at least 3 baths a day and be content with my life. When I get in bed and can’t sleep I go get in the bath. It is so relaxing and helps me become sleepy. It also prevents me from laying in bed on my phone. A steaming hot bath with bubbles and epsom salt will have you fast asleep in no time.
Follow these few steps and you won’t have trouble falling asleep ever again. We would love to hear what helps you sleep at night. Leave comments below (:
