Everyone knows that spring is right around the corner and all about bright colors and floral patterns. But a wise man once said its the little things in life. What are the tiny accessories you can add to your wardrobe that will make a huge difference?
Chokers
Now chokers have been a trend for a while. They started off with the thin black velvet choker and have evolved into all different shapes and sizes. One of my personal favorites, however, is a tiny, dainty choker. So one that is maybe a simple gold chain or had tiny details. A choker that is almost invisible, but its presence adds that much more to your outfit.
Rings
Rings for me have always been a weird piece of jewelry. Like why am I decorating my fingers, you know? BUT, after a few rings were gifted to me for my birthday, I have recently seen the light. To me wearing a few small rings each day makes it look like you’re trying way harder than you are. It seems like you put some deep thought into which fingers they went on and which ones you wore, when truthfully you just slid them on. Rings are a really easy way to accessorize for the upcoming seasons.
Nail Polish
This may sound absurd because how can nail polish make any impact on your outfit, but having a nice clean color on your nails will make it seem like you are way more put together than you are. Once again, I was late on this whole gel nail polish bandwagon and thankfully college has once again shown me the light. Gel manicures are the single greatest creation to come to women everywhere. I can get a french manicure and act as if I actually have time to keep them from chipping when actually it is chip proof. Another amazing thing is that it won’t get ruined when you go in the pool or are at the beach and they won’t ruin your nails. Seriously, where has this been all my life. Who needs a man when you have a gel manicure, am I right?
While these are only a few small things that are added to your spring and summer wardrobe, they will actually make a huge difference. The motto I like to live by is simpler is always better. Don’t overload yourself with thousands of accessories and so many bright colors. KEEP IT SIMPLE! In 10 years when you are looking back at pictures, you’ll thank me for that 🙂
