Summer is winding down and it’s time to put those adorable swimsuits away and break out all the winter clothes. While this is very very sad and can be a real bummer to most girls because I mean who wants to lose their bikini body? I’m here to share with you all of my secrets for keeping the perfect bikini body. As winter is approaching it is so easy to give up on trying to keep your bikini body and turn to all of your Fall favorites such as all things pumpkin spice and comfort foods. But stay strong ladies and follow these few tips.
Remind yourself of how much you have accomplished
It’s easy to give up on eating healthy and working out when you’re not showing off what you have worked so hard for. Keep reminding yourself of all the hard work and time you put into looking your best in a bikini. You don’t want all of that to go down the drain once summer is over. Stay motivated and keep pushing to better yourself. Just think of it like this, if you never give up trying to look your best in a bikini, once summer starts approaching again you will be one less girl stressing about what she looks like.
To lose weight and keep the perfect body, you actually have to eat more food, but the right foods. We are all aware that the saying “we are what we eat” has truth behind it. With Thanksgiving and other holidays coming up this is very important to remember. We all love chowing down on Thanksgiving to all of our favorite foods, and you can still do this but be smart about it. Trade that unhealthy deep fried turkey in for a more healthier choice and skip out on eating that whole pie you have been dreaming about since last Thanksgiving ended.
Part of keeping your beach body before, during, and after the summer is to create milestones throughout the year that will keep you motivated. Instead of just thinking about what you look like during the summer, tell yourself you want to look good for any event or holidays not just summer ones. Do you have a birthday coming up you want to look good for? Maybe New Years is approaching and there’s this dress you have been eyeing for weeks but you aren’t sure if it will fit. Never have these worries, stay fit and be your best self year round. Setting goals, even if they are small.
This doesn’t necessarily mean reward yourself with food but by all means if you need that double cheeseburger and fries once a week to keep you going, go for it girl. But if rewarding yourself is like the way I do it then buying that cute outfit or swimsuit is enough of a reward to keep you motivated. Your brain will associate your hard work with positive reinforcement. And hopefully, that will help you to stay on track in the long run.
Stay motivated and just remember that summer isn’t the only time you’re supposed to look your best. If you stay on track and keep pushing yourself to get better you will be one less girl killing herself when summer comes back around to get bikini body ready.
